Solar Microgeneration Limited (SML) are specialists in the design, supply and installation of solar water heating and photovoltaic systems for domestic, commercial and public sector buildings throughout the UK.
In December 2006 SML were appointed by the Government as a "Framework Supplier" for the Low Carbon Buildings Programme grant scheme. This means that we are able to offer grants of up to 50% on solar energy systems for public and not-for-profit sector projects.
SML was formed in 2006 as a joint venture by three of the UK's leading solar water heating companies, Filsol Solar Limited, SolarTech Limited and Southern Solar Limited. With over 25 years of experience in the manufacture, design, supply and installation of high efficiency solar energy technologies, the SML partnership offers high quality, cost effective and truly focused solutions with a nationwide delivery capability.
The SML solar water heating system is based on the Filsol flat plate collector which is manufactured at SML Partner, Filsol Solar's factory in South Wales. Based on a high efficiency stainless steel absorber plate, the Filsol collector is widely regarded as one of the most effective, reliable and long lasting solar collectors available.
SML also design, supply and install a range of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems using proven, high quality technology supplied by leading international PV companies including Sharp and Naps Systems.
