Grant Funding

Up to 50% Funding on Solar Energy though the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2

SML has been appointed by the Government as a "Framework Supplier" under the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP) Phase 2 scheme, meaning that SML's solar water heating systems are subject to grants of up to 50% of the total purchase and installation cost.

In addition, we are also listed as a named supplier of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for the LCBP Phase 2 scheme under the British Gas consortium. This means that we are able to provide solar PV systems with grants of up to 50%.

LCBP Phase 2 Grant Eligibility

The LCBP Phase 2 scheme provides £50 million of capital grant funding for the installation of various microgeneration technologies - including solar water heating and PV - by organisations in the UK public and not-for-profit sectors, including local authorities, housing associations, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, public service organisations and registered charities.

Leading "Framework Supplier" for Solar

Under the rules of the programme, the supply and installation of these technologies can only be carried out by Framework Suppliers such as SML who have been appointed by the Government.

Since the launch of the scheme in December 2006, we have established ourselves as a leading Framework Supplier of solar energy systems under the Phase 2 scheme.

Grant Application Service

SML will provide full advice and support in assisting with the grant application process. In our experience, the process of obtaining grants is straightforward with funds being allocated on a first come first served basis. In most cases, applicants are notified of decisions within 7 working days.
