We employ our own in-house design teams who are highly trained and experienced in our solar technologies. Our designers work closely with clients, developers, architects, M&E contractors and design consultants to ensure that the right solar energy system is designed to meet the particular requirements of the project.
Our system specifications include comprehensive information on system sizing, equipment and installation details, operation diagrams, warranties and maintenance requirements. We will also provide detailed breakdowns of equipment and installation costs as well as information on likely energy outputs and carbon savings.
The SML group has an experienced and industry accredited UK-wide installation capability. In addition to SML's own installers covering Southern England, Wales and the Midlands, we can also call upon a network of other regional solar energy installation businesses across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. These Installer Partners have been duly appointed by SML following rigorous assessment and ongoing supervision of the quality of their installation work.
SML's policy is to engage early with main contractors in order to ensure that the supply and installation of our systems runs smoothly and in line with the overall build schedules. We also recognise the value of having a single point of contact to deal with any issues which may arise in the supply and installation process.
SML take responsibility for a fully commissioned and working solar energy system to the specification of the contract. This includes providing full instructions on system operation as well as guidance on routine maintenance requirements.
We offer a 2 year guarantee on all parts and labour as standard on all our installations. In addition, our system components carry comprehensive warranties, including a 10 year guarantee on all Filsol solar collectors with a lifetime guarantee on the stainless steel absorber plate.
In addition to our standard warranties, we offer comprehensive aftercare and maintenance support packages. These include training support to enable maintenance teams to conduct annual systems checks, fault diagnosis and routine maintenance tasks.
