With over 25 years of experience in the manufacture, design, supply and installation of high efficiency solar energy technologies, SML offers high quality, cost effective and truly focused solutions with a nationwide delivery capability.

SML are committed to providing the highest standards of service from initial feasibility and design through to completed installation and commissioning. SML also facilitate a 'whole life' service to clients supported by comprehensive warranties, maintenance agreements and grant funding where possible.

All products installed by SML are CE approved and are manufactured with the emphasis on quality, energy efficiency and low environmental impact. Extensive industry testing and over 25 years of successful installations are a testimony to the proven quality of SML's products in providing highly efficient and reliable service for their design life time and beyond.

Design and Specification

We employ our own in-house design teams who are highly trained and experienced in our solar technologies. Our designers work closely with clients, developers, architects, M&E contractors and design consultants to ensure that the particular requirements of the project are met.

Our system specifications include comprehensive information on system sizing, equipment and installation details, operation diagrams, warranties and maintenance requirements. We will also provide detailed breakdowns of equipment and installation costs as well as information on likely energy outputs and carbon savings.

Supply and Installation

The SML group has an experienced and industry accredited UK-wide installation capability. Installers undergo rigorous assessment and continual monitoring for the quality of their installation work.

SML's policy is to engage early with main contractors in order to ensure that the supply and installation of our systems meet the overall build schedules. We also recognise the value of having a single point of contact to deal with any issues which may arise in the supply and installation process.

Commissioning and Warranties

SML take responsibility for a fully commissioned and working solar energy system to the specification of the contract. This includes providing full instructions on system operation as well as guidance on routine maintenance requirements.

We offer a 2 year guarantee on all parts and labour as standard on all our installations. In addition, our system components carry comprehensive warranties, including a 10 year guarantee on all Filsol solar collectors with a lifetime guarantee on the stainless steel absorber plate.

Aftercare and Maintenance Support

In addition to our standard warranties, we offer comprehensive aftercare and maintenance support packages. These include training support to enable maintenance teams to conduct annual systems checks, fault diagnosis and routine maintenance tasks.
